Once the order has been placed it will take around 6-8 weeks for your suit to arrive


Select tailoring offers a product that has been specifically made for you.  All of our products are individually tailored for each customer so that we can offer a perfect fit to every customer. In order to satisfy all our clients, if it does not fit perfectly, we will pay for the required alterations or send a new one. There might be an alteration charges where necessary.  However, we will not give up until it fits perfectly. Unfortuntaley we are unable to issue a refund. 

If you do need to return an item we recommend that you insure the returned items, as we cannot be held responsible for goods whilst in transit to us. Please retain proof of postage.

Can I change or cancel my order?

 Yes you can depending how long the order has been in work.  If no work has started then there is no charge.  If work has started then there will be a charge of the cloth price and any work carried out. 

Can I place an order and have it sent somewhere different to my billing address?

Yes. You can have your garment sent to your billing address, or to any address on the UK mainland.

Do you provide a fit guarantee?

Unfortunately not but if there are any problems we will do everything possible to make everything fit correctly.

How do I know I have the right fitting?

How will I know that my online order has been received?

 When we receive your online order, we’ll send you an e-mail confirming your order number and giving a link to details of the garments you’ve chosen.

What happens if I give the wrong measurements?

Our online customers are delighted with their suits. Following our easy-to-use guide will result in a perfectly fitting suit.

Once you have submitted your order to our tailors, your order is personally checked by your tailor, and if a particular measurement seems unusual, we check it with you before continuing your order.

What if I need alterations to my suit?

We are extremely proud of our high level of tailoring accuracy, but we are happy to tweak your suit and your profile for future orders to perfection.

Alterations usually take around two weeks to complete.

When do I pay?

You pay for your suit when you place your order. Please note that, even if you have paid in full, your order will not be processed unless you have also completed a full set of measurements.

When do I prepare to receive my suit?

You will be notified by email at the time of dispatch that your suit has been shipped,

Can I see a sample of your material?

You can order a free swatch by going to the ‘Get Started ‘ page and filling out the swatch request form

Is it possible to purchase just a pair of trousers, a waistcoat or a jacket?

Yes, all of our garments can be bought individually as well as in a suit set. This includes jackets, waistcoats, and of course, trousers.

What is the cut of your suits?

 We have two cuts – classic and fashion.  Classic gives a more relaxed fit to the body, where the fashion fit has more of a tapered waist

How do I change my delivery address?

Please contact our Customer Services Department on 0800 915 0500 from Monday to Friday 8am - 10pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am - 5pm.

How do I pay for my order?

You can pay by any Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch, Solo, JCB card or Paypal. To ensure that shopping on-line is secure, your credit/debit details will be encrypted through the HSBC payment gateway. Brook Taverner will not store any credit card details.
The prices displayed on our web site are in British pounds.
We currently debit money from your account the same day as completing and dispatching your order.

What if I am charged VAT?

All Pound Sterling (£) orders sent within the European Union are subject to Value Added Tax. This rate is set at 20% of the total order. (16% for despatches to Germany) Orders being sent outside of the EU will automatically have the VAT deducted.

What happens if I do not receive my order in the timeframe?

It rarely happens that our customers do not receive their order within the specified timeframe for each country; however, from time to time this does occur. If your parcel does not arrive please contact our Customer Service department on 0800 915 0500 (e-mail and we will investigate the matter immediately for you.
